Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Easy helpful advice given.

Easy helpful advice given. Setting up my DMP was easy and has sorted all my debts into 1 simple payment each month to stepchange who then pay my creditors. Reviewed on: 6th May 2026

The help I required was available quickly and provided without judgment. The relief I felt after engaging with StepChange was enormous and the whole process was not only efficient, but also hugely reassuring. Step change have made a real difference to my financ...

Step change have made a real difference to my financial state - The template is very easy to use recording income and out goings and showing an affordable Amount to pay each month. Once an amount is agreed They contact your debtors on your behalf and arrange a payment plan and a direct debit is set up to pay them directly.
