Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Best decision I've taken.

After several years of struggling with mounting debts, I finally contacted StepChange and they could not have been more helpful. Their friendly, non judgemental service soon had my debt repayment plan up and running and they took care of everything. StepChange helped to sort out my debt

StepChange saved my life as they helped me to sort out my financial issues. I went from total stress over bills/debts to begin calm over what I owed - this was due to StepChange. They were unjudgemental and so very helpful by sorting out with my debtors what I could afford to pay. My life feels so much better with the financial burden lifted. I pay StepChange monthly and they arrange my payments. I've a long way to go to pay everything off, but thanks to StepChange, I am able to cope and have a reasonable lifestyle.
