Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Amazing people such a relief when I decided to seek help a huge weight lifted off our shoulders stepchange are none judgemental they really want to help you the staff were so kind and helpful and continue to be they are there for you every step of the way I thoughly recommend you pick the phone up to stepchange and talk to them it is a life changing service and I will be forever grateful to them all. From the start of my journey with step change they helped me and my family so much - I was at the end of my tether with bills not being paid and debt mounting ! I reached out and within 10 days my creditors were off our back and I could finally take a deep breath and sleep at night !
