Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Step Change - thorough, efficient and professional.

Step Change took time to really understand my situation which was getting a bit desperate. They were thorough ilwith my budget assessment and development. We arrived at a good outcome, which I was/a very pleased with. The plan is scheduled for review in 12 months. Reviewed on: 23rd May 2025

StepChange stopped me from drowning in debt

I was drowning in debt and couldn’t see a way out of it other than going down the bankruptcy route. After speaking to StepChange I was made aware of another path that still allows reduced payments to the lenders and keeps the pressure off. All going very well so far. Reviewed on: 23rd May 2025

Stress less

I was with another company who took a fee. Step change don’t take a fee. They don’t bother you with emails or phone calls as long as you continue with the payments. I felt relief and no stress when I went to StepChange for debt advice Reviewed on: 23rd May 2025

Amazing help.

I felt I was drowning in debt and couldn't see it ever ending, only getting worse. Someone recommended StepChange and it was the best decision I ever made.
