Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Step Change is the best thing I did

Until I contacted Step Change I was forever missing payments and my credit score was sinking like a stone but thanks to Step Change it has helped to rebuild my credit score and maintain my regular payments to the point of two months I will be debt free. Great Service

My credit card debt was became unaffordable when my circumstances changed due to poor health. Step Change were excellent and helpful and also very friendly. A few simple details about what I owed to who and what my income and outgoings were and they took it from there, speaking to my creditors themselves. It has relieved me of stress. Amazing people that care.

I was in crippling debt after my partner left me with nothing and companies started chasing me for COVID pause payments. Stepchange helped me by taking my debt and contacting the companies on my behalf. They helped me make the repayments and managed the communications between myself and the collectors.
