StepChange changed my life

Following some critical changes and ending up on furlough during Covid, I found myself struggling with debt repayments. Ashamed and embarrassed, I didn’t know where to turn. They listened non-judgementally and put together a debt management plan. They supported me throughout the plan with regular updates and were always so easy to contact and talk to either by phone or email. I would recommend them to anybody who feels out of their depth with debt. I am now debt free and have been for almost a year, all thanks to StepChange. Reviewed on: 15th June 2024

StepChange saved me

6 years ago I had a debt of £45K and was at my wits end as the minimum payments to my creditors were just not eating into the debt and I could barely afford the payments. StepChange gave me back my life with an affordable monthly payment. Next month I will be debt free having paid off the lot. And yes I will be celebrating. Thank you StepChange. Stepchange are amazing

Dont know how I would have coped without them over the years they have been very supportive kind and professional and helpful. I cannot thank them enough I would definitely recommed them. My son got into a lot of debt with gambling taking out credit cards thanks to stepchange he is now debt free has a detached house a great job and wedding planned and changed his life around. DROWNING IN DEBT

FROM THE MINUTE I CONTACTED STEPCHANGE I FELT A BIG WEIGHT LIFTED OFF MY SHOULDERS. I HAD SEVERAL CREDIT CARDS AND WAS STRUGGLING TO MAKE THE MINIMUM PAYMENTS ON THEM. I WAS BORROWING FROM ONE TO PAY ANOTHER. I STRUGGLED TO SLEEP AS I WAS SO WORRIED ABOUT MY SITUATION. STEPCHANGE REASSURED ME FROM MY FIRST CONTACT THAT THEY WOULD HELP ME TO FIND A WAY TO SORT EVERYTHING OUT, AND THEY DID. THE FIRST STEP WAS THEM CONTACTING ALL MY CREDITORS TO ARRANGE BREATHING SPACE WHILST THEY HELPED ME TO WORK OUT A BUDGET. FOR THE FIRST TIME IN YEARS I MADE A BUDGET WHICH WAS MANAGEABLE AND I WAS ABLE TO STICK TO. I'M SO GLAD I TOOK THAT FIRST STEP IN CONTACTING THEM. Reviewed on: 9th June 2024
