Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Amazing - Great Service

using stepchange has definitely changed my life and made my life less stressful knowing that the payments to my creditors are being paid stress free, setting it all up was easy and they did all the work for me, never will i get into this situation again but they have definitely made this easier Reviewed on: 6th May 2026

Absolutely outstanding

I have found all the people I have spoken to at stepchange from the beginning to be lovely, helpful, kind and just there when you are going through something so hard in your life. Its not easy to say you need help with your finances especially to a stranger, but all the wonderful people I have been speaking to have been amazing, genuine and very understanding.
