Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

StepChange have been brilliant, they've helped me see a way forward with managing my debts and I can see the end goal and it has been a huge weight off my mind. They are great to talk to, answer any questions I have thoroughly and kindly and without judgement and have been really good at talking to my creditors and offering advice on how to deal with them when needed. Step change really have changed my life.

Step change really have changed my life. I was at a very dark point, with sleepless nights worrying about how I was going to battle this mountain of debt.
