Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Paying back my debt is much more manageable

After burying my head in the sand I finally came to the realisation that I needed help. I completed the online application with ease, the outcome was brilliant. Much more manageable payments so I’m now able to live my life and have money spare to enjoy family time. Helped me out of a black hole.

I'm 54 months in to a 6 year plan a Stepchange have been there throughout. I was in a dark place with crippling interest charges go on to my account every month from my creditors.
