It was absolutely fantastic help from start to finish.

It was absolutely fantastic help from start to finish. It took 8 days in total. I'm sitting here now a lot happier than I was 3 weeks ago. They put me forward (against their recommendation) for a DRO, which was passed 2 weeks ago, and because I have their backing, I have been able to liaise with my creditors a lot easier, and they have actually helped me due to my underlying health issues. Thank you to them all from Stepchange and also Money Wellness (the people who organised my finances and submitted my DRO application) From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU. I was drowning in debt

When I first contacted Step change I was in such debt I thought I might loose my house. I couldn’t make any even basic payments and i and my children were struggling so badly. With stepchange help my debts are under control. The threatening letters from companies have stopped. I am paying all my debts slowly each month. It has saved my life. Reviewed on: 6th June 2025

A well-informed and supportive helping hand

I was very confused and anxious about what I should do. The options explained by StepChange were clear and very helpful. StepChange negotiated monthly payments with my creditors and this was a huge help. I now pay an agreed monthly amount which StepChange divides among the creditors. However, I am still struggling, as the cost of essentials, energy and council tax has risen, and this has wiped out the increase in my state pension. I am hoping StepChange can shortly help me to come to a new arrangement with my creditors and I am gratefyl for the calm support and advice the advisors offer. Reviewed on: 6th June 2025
