Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Life changing.

when I originally got in touch with step-change I was feeling at my lowest ebb,quite desperate,dangerously depressed.I cannot explain just how much they calmed the situation down,non judgementally sorted my finances out,and gave me back the ability to sleep.I can check my details online,keep in touch easily.I would certainly recommend them to others who are in my position. I have been going through a rough time financially...

I have been going through a rough time financially since COVID and resulting in me losing my job. In all that financial hardship the only people i could lean on and talk about my financial problems were StepChange Debt Management thay supported me and still supporting me to this day .They have stood by me its not as if i wanted to be in Debt but as much as my circumstance changed for the worse , I started feeling over whelmed by repayments as i was not working and earning as much money as i was before, I could not find a permanent job so i had I to re adjust my payments with StepChange until i get stable employment then i can rearrange payment so as to pay the debts. From the moment that I contacted step change and started to fill out a debt management plan it started to get easier. Within a couple of weeks the stress I was in started to ease. Bad place due to debt.
