Steps to mindful financial management

Step Change provided informative and easily accessible financial management support, at a time when I felt overwhelmed by debt and without any other alternative repayment options. Reviewed on: 9th June 2025

Listening and helpful.

They have released a huge burden from me.

Facing up to debt is a really scary thing, it is easier to just put your head in the sand and ignore it. Another debt management company approached me and I was paying £40 a month and their service was terrible, they lied about what they were doing, they bullied me into staying with them and I still had to contact everyone I owed money to, which is the most difficult part. I thought if I paid, I would get a better service, I was totally wrong. Step Change are amazing, and now feel as if I am beginning to sort my life out. Step Change contacted all of my creditors. I pay a set monthly amount to Step Change and they distribute it all to pay off my debts. The website is really clear. At anytime I can use it to update my monthly expenditure, see how my debts are decreasing. And all of this is for free. They have released a huge burden from me, I know feel as if I am taking control of my life. They are amazing. Reviewed on: 6th August 2023

Stress now gone!
