I turned to step change in 2020 my marriage had broken down , and I was left with a lot of debts so I owed about 16000, at the time, iv been able to put all my debts as one payment, so far iv payed just over 6,000 pounds in the last 5 years I'm glad I did turn to step change, they have helped me sort out my debts and now iv been able to sleep at night Reviewed on: 24th May 2025

Before I contacted Step Change I didn’t know where to turn for help. I was constantly worried and stressed about money. When I had paid my bills I had nothing left to live on so then had to borrow more money to survive the month till the next pay day. Due to COVID all my overtime was stopped leaving me with even less wages to pay my bills. I spoke to a friend who suggested I contact Step Change and I’m so glad I did as it was the best thing I could have done.
