I turned to step change in 2020 my marriage had bro...

I turned to step change in 2020 my marriage had broken down , and I was left with a lot of debts so I owed about 16000, at the time, iv been able to put all my debts as one payment, so far iv payed just over 6,000 pounds in the last 5 years I'm glad I did turn to step change, they have helped me sort out my debts and now iv been able to sleep at night Reviewed on: 24th May 2025

Excellent service

When I emailed step change I was at my lowest couldn't find anyway out, I really thought it was impossible to help me. I was wrong the website was really easy to use I felt a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. Reviewed on: 14th July 2023

Exceptional service

When all roads was closed Step Change stepped up

After losing my wife to Cancer leaving me with 3 young children, I had to give up on my business and employment to look after them relying on my savings and credit cards and then applying for Universal credit. I Got myself into serious debt, especially with energy suppliers, I couldn't see a way out until I spoke to Step Change, and they came up with a solution where all parties had to agree on a repayment plan, pay my creditors via Step Change and I can administer care to the children. I can’t describe how grateful I am! It is/was really a step change if you want to make a difference in your life! Easy to understand your situation and quick response to help you to provide a plan for you! I am now working and keeping up with my plan! I am finally looking forward with a positive attitude! Simply the Best!

When I was down Step Change came to my rescue and really stepped up to the plate. I found customer services friendly and did all they could do to help find a solution. They patiently talked me through everything I needed to do and between us they came up with a solution. As a result I feel like I am back in control of my finances. Fantastic Friendly Service

The staff I have spoken with are amazing. They are Non Judgmental, friendly, helpful and extremely supportive and understanding of my situation. I have been able to get a solution to my problems with the help of step change, I was initially so disappointed in myself that I had got into a situation which I felt there was no end to but after discussing the situation with step change staff I found that there was an answer, they have assisted me all through the process and I now feel so much better about things. I would recommend Step Change to anyone who is experiencing the same problems as I was. Thank you so much for your patience and ongoing support. I wish you all well for the future.
