I turned to step change in 2020 my marriage had bro...

I turned to step change in 2020 my marriage had broken down , and I was left with a lot of debts so I owed about 16000, at the time, iv been able to put all my debts as one payment, so far iv payed just over 6,000 pounds in the last 5 years I'm glad I did turn to step change, they have helped me sort out my debts and now iv been able to sleep at night Reviewed on: 24th May 2025

Excellent help given

I had put off seeking help, my sister encouraged me to make the first move. I have not looked back since. I thought I would be judged for having got into such a state with my finances but soon saw that my worries and concerns were easily and carefully dealt with. I feel much happier now. Really helped us out of a hole

Being young and having trouble settling into work my now wife and I racked up around 15k in debt. Once I started earning more money and accepted that we needed help and I contacted Stepchange; they have supported us every step of the way no matter what hurdles have come up. We now have a debt free date of July 2026 which is excellent news and it has made out lives so much easier and stressful and enabled us to take control of our finances. Reviewed on: 9th July 2023

Game changer

I was struggling financially following the death of my husband. Finding money for bills was difficult enough but I had credit card debt with interest that I could never see an end to. Step Change dealt with all my creditors for me advising I go on a DMP and wow what a game changer. I feel I can breath and will be able to retire at 67 I hope. I am so glad I sought their help. The forms were completed online and easy to access, every month I get a statement update. It’s wonderful and I know I can contact them for support if I need to. No judgment just brilliant advice at a time when I desperately needed it. I couldn’t speak more highly of Step Change if I tried their support has brought me hope for the future.
