You can open a Tembo cash lifetime ISA or a stocks and shares lifetime ISA by downloading the app and depositing a minimum of £1.

Tembo doesn’t charge monthly subscription fees for the lifetime ISAs, but there is an annual platform fee for the stocks and shares lifetime ISA.

Great bank, love it! Brilliant experience from the start and the interest rate has been a lot higher than its competitors. The customer service is fast and polite. The best interest rates, friendly customer service

I briefly inquired about a mortgage, and got a prompt but helpful email and call from a friendly guy explaining mortgages. Ended up not working out but was still a good experience. The LISA savings account provides the best (or at least tied) savings rates so that's good, too. And the app is well designed and intuitive. Reviewed on: 3rd February 2026

I opened a Lifetime ISA with Tembo, having not knowing that it would be so beneficial as a young person, and they have been great, the communication, the interest rate and the constant email check in’s have been wonderful, have passed details to friends in a similar situations for LISA’s and ISA’s.
