Said i drove into the rear of a car

when i signed up with a car had pulled in front of me and i hit his side door in 4 feb 2018 no body was hurt my policy number is 8314819x and was with them a while i had a letter from them thanking me for informing them of an accident i had i rang them they said a lady had said i hit her car on the side i said was it on the norton road she said yes i told her i had not hit her car and went to the place it happened there was a bus lane and 24 hour camera with a telephone number on it i took photos of it and drawed a plane of the road and my car and her car she had dove alongside me trying to get me into the bus lann and follewd me i had been for a blood test at the doctors at no time did i hit her car but was told at first i had hit her side and forced her into the kerb which was a lye like i said i sent loads of photo to tesco to show i was not at fault they sent a man out to check my car and he found nothing wrong with it they sent me a reminder about renewing my insurance with them i had 5 years no claim discount when i was joined them but my renewal say i hit the third party car ion the rear on the 19 of april 2022 and i have 3 points now there is no damage to the front of my car and i was not in a crash on that date with any car they can take my car to any garage they want when i rang them today and spoke to a lady she said they had got all the photo i had sent in but where writing to the lady insurance find out what damage there is to her car i said if you want i can bring my car to you she said no it would be a garage that would check to see if my car had been in a crash so why are they charging me more this year and only giving me 3 year no claims instead of 5 years they are the worst of the lot Reviewed on: 7th March 2023

Absolute nightmare!!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! My wife was insured through Tesco. Had a fender bender, new bumper and bonnet needed. No structural damage, confirmed by mechanic. Tesco's took almost 2 weeks to assess the damage, during which she was told twice it would be cat c and could go ahead with repairs. Got repairs done and an MOT to prove roadworthiness only to be told it was cat b and is considered unroadworthy, all from some photos.... refusing to reassess, Customer service appalling. We've spent a fortune on cabs to get to work whilst waiting for a response, God knows how many phonecalls, gone ahead with repairs as agreed on 2 calls and now we're being told it's unroadworthy and we cannot drive it. Horrendous Customer Service

Received and email to say my car insurance was due renewal. Went online to compare as the price had increased. Cheapest Tesco lower than my review quote. Contacted to discuss and waited 58 minutes. The man talked over me the whole call. Said to cancel the renew and buy again online. That was the solution rather than just match the quote. Spoke over me throughout the call and didn’t let me get a word in. Horrendous service. Reviewed on: 1st March 2023

I was with Tesco for my car insurance for 3 years in a row. They offered the best value for money and I never had an issue with them. The one thing I really disliked was that they never give you the best renewal quote! Reviewed on: 22nd February 2023

Awful service.

I wish I had read the reviews on this site before insuring with Tesco. Absolutely useless. A driver bumped into my car on 2nd Dec. I claimed on line, sent photos etc. The other driver left all details and their insurer has agreed to liability. Tesco so far have done sod all. Long long waits on the so called customer service number. Avoid and go elsewhere. Reviewed on: 3rd February 2023

Terrible customer service, no response to emails or calls - avoid!

6 weeks after my claim was reported, still no money and no resolution. My written-off car is still sitting outside my house and although confirmed as a write-off and an amount agreed 2 weeks ago, still no money in my account. Appalling service, really don't know how they can continue to operate. I will definitely not be using Tesco for my car insurance again. Shame, because I have several other products with Tesco Bank, like Pet Insurance and Credit Card, but reconsidering these now, based on my car insurance experience with them .... worse experience ever

I had a insurance with this company and this company has done a big fraud with me, someone hit my parked car and this company said they will write off the car with the value of the car Its been 4v months Ib am calling the company bt this company isn't getting back to my phone calls or anything has been delaying to my questions and not getting back to me I am begging for my money like an idiot getting delayed and paying them every month its a rip off business. Okay but annoying

Just completed my first year with Tesco. No claims, one birthday and a renewal quote £380 higher than last year!! And, of course, if you sit back and do nothing, renewal is automatic. Telephoned, and waited only ten minutes to speak to a polite and pleasant lady. I explained had done my research and could beat their renewal quote by at least £100. Asked to wait while she "contacted the underwriters" which took less than five seconds, and she came back with a £100 reduction. I accepted and renewed with Tesco. My dissatisfaction is that this appears to be sharp practice! If they are prepared to insure me at that price, why was renewal not offered at that price? I accept that insurance companies operate an ageist policy (I am 82) but with 65 years of claim free motoring over probably 5 million miles, I think I am at least as good a risk as a 25 year old Beemer burner. Still, I don't expect them to change their policies for me, but I strongly suggest you don't just accept renewal quoted, but instead, challenge. It worked for me. Shame on you Tesco!!
