For most of us, banking is a necessity but banks are not all forces for good. Triodos is one of the few banks putting our money to very good use and I, for one, feel 100% happier knowing that I have put my money where my heart is. Why would you not? Reviewed on: 18th December 2019

Breath of fresh air in British banking

I was so pleasantly surprised when I started hearing and reading of the great work Triodos do in the way they conduct business. Opening an account was a seamless process and I like the online platform too. However, the most important part is the transparency and the feeling that I am contributing to something worth my while. I am glad to see Triodos expanding as it has been in the recent months and believe they deserve to be recognised for this. Reviewed on: 18th December 2019

Friendly, helpful and easy to use

I moved to Triodos as I wanted to bank company that takes their values seriously. However, it's also important that they give good service, and I'm delighted to find that Triodos does. It's usually easy to get through on the phone. The people are always friendly and helpful. They are also good on security and have rung me to check all's correct when I've paid a large sum to a new contact before they let the payment go through. I highly recommend Triodos. A caring, sustainable and trustworthy bank

I've used them for years in Holland before moving back to the UK - I love that my money is put into sustainable projects, small businesses and that I am kept up-to-date on the projects, and get discounts from those Triodos supports with loans - in the end it feels like you are part of a community working towards a higher goal. Would highly recommend them - the service, products and what they do in the world is always above and beyond the norm. Reviewed on: 18th December 2019

Triodos is one of the few banks that offer customers 2 things essential for ethical savings and investment: 1) full transparency on how their funds are invested, 2) progressive screening in of good companies actively contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals, and screening out bad companies working against the future we want (e.g fossil fuel companies). Hopefully one day all banks will offer clients these services. Triceps enables normal people to steer their money clear from supporting environmental and climate catastrophes and steer their money towards the urgent solutions we need to be investing in instead. At last... a bank that serves the community

In recent years, we have all seen how banks tend to extract value from the community (investing where the wealth already is, profiteering from increases in property values, gambling on futures rather than investing in community enterprises) and how they have contributed to financial and monetary crises around the world - whilst remaining immune to sanctions through being too big to fail. Triodos has reversed that trend and shown that a bank can successfully invest for good in small-scale, local, organic, resilient, sustainable businesses - and my money makes a small contribution to doing good in that way.
