Easy to use, Triodos has taught me a lot

Easy to use, good returns on my savings. I use both internet banking and a phone app to manage my accounts and both are easy to do. Sometimes I need to get more specific info for my expat taxes so I call up. When I've had to do this I've had helpful, ready support on the phone from Triodos staff, and the experience of being treated like a human. The best thing about Triodos is their ethical investments and the education they do around this. I really care about what my money is doing in the world and Triodos has helped me to learn a lot about the possibilities of ethical banking and how it works: sometimes I read the website or newsletters, and with the app it's easy to see the kind of impact my savings choice is having. I'm thinking about moving my current account too. Reviewed on: 4th March 2025

A friendly, ethical bank.

At a time when our high street banks are still putting money into fossil fuels, it's great to have a bank which shows you can be successful without supporting our destruction. An ethiscore of 96 (out of 100) from Ethical Consumer says it all. It's almost a bonus that it also provides an excellent customer experience, via an easy to use wesite and its customer service. They are open about how my money is invested in projects that are sustainable, ethical and vital for people and the planet. They are easily contactable by phone when needed. Financial ethics are impeccable and effective in supporting ecologically sustainable and community-supportive work. Personal contact is easy to access, courteous and helpful. Thus Triodos in many ways exemplifies both the personal and the socially- and environmentally-conscious business-related dimensions of what banking has often claimed to provide, but in the vast majority of current practice has failed so to do.
