Vanquis: Ignoring it's customers

Vanquis used to offer a great service when I first signed up. But recently they have withdrawn their old app, forcing a new app, with questionable security, which has been criticised by many of their customers. However, Vanquis have refused to listen to their customers complaints and basically, given them no choice, either comply with their new demands or lose the service offered. Great service from a great team ...

I was granted my first Vanquis credit card back in 2016 and, since then, it has been a real boon. My credit score is now at its highest (999), and Vanquis must take credit (if you will excuse the pun!) for a large part of that. Their mobile App makes managing my account very easy - for example, varying the amount I repay monthly, be it a fixed sum or some percentage of the balance. All-in-all, a great service, especially given that, in extremis, one can talk to a real live human being over the phone! :) Reviewed on: 2nd July 2026
