Poor complaints handling and broken promises

I had a frustrating experience with Vanquis that I need to share. Called the activation number on my new card sticker and it straight up didn’t work. Called them directly (after holiday delay) and was told it was active - still didn’t work. Their complaints handling was appalling. Submitted a proper written complaint through their online form and they completely ignored it. Promised to call me back - never happened. Later claimed they’d left voicemails when they hadn’t. Shabby treatment from start to finish. Just basic maladministration. Reviewed on: 7th January 2026

Excellent

I have had no issues with vanquis. The wait times are always low and always get greeted by a friendly advisor who is happy to help. My card was subject to fraud recently and the customer service was very prossional. The advisor showed empathy and my issue was resolved wothin the week.
