No nonsense, straight to the point.

No nonsense, straight to the point. Staff always pleasant and ready to help. Always get an appointment to suit ourselves. The opening times could be better I.e. weekends not everybdy can make weekdays as they have to work too. So Saturdays would be better if they could open. Reviewed on: 27th January 2025

Fabulous customer service!

I have used products from The Vernon for about 3 years now, firstly with my Help to Buy ISA and now with their mortgage product. I have always found the staff to be exceptionally helpful both in branch (Reddish & Hazel Grove) and over the phone. Our mortgage advisor Lucy Burnside has exceeded all expectations. She is always on hand to answer all of our questions big or small and does so in a polite, friendly and timely manner. I will be recommending The Vernon to all friends and family who require mortgages or savings in the Stockport area. Reviewed on: 20th April 2021

Self build mortgage

The Vernon building society in Marple is my local branch, from the onset the advisors were extremely helpful and friendly. I had a non conventional property to mortgage and rebuild and they did everything that they could do to help me with my application and complete the process.
