Don't touch this company

1
Please, whatever you do never take out a mortgage with this company. I recently applied for the standard covid-19 payment holiday because my tenant was struggling, they approved it, and now have recorded a missed payment against my credit file. I called them, explained the situation, was promised a call back and almost a week later have they called me? Of course not! I'm sure they'll be constructing some ridiculous excuse to justify screwing up my credit report at such a difficult time for everyone around the country Reviewed on: 23rd May 2020

Definitely recommend

We completed on our home today! Thank you Vida homeloans for getting us on the ladder and accepting us when no one else would. If you do go with vida it does take a little long than say a high street bank, but vida is giving you a lot of money so they have to make sure they can trust you to pay it back. Thanks for trusting me vida homeloans, I won’t let you down! Reviewed on: 10th January 2020

rip off merchants

bunch of cowboys, they gladly take your money for valuation etc, make initial offer then decline mortgage and cant give a valid reason , valuer should have been told lease extension upon completion which was agreed between broker and vida, seems like he wasnt hence he said couldnt value property...have asked in writing why offer was declined and asked for valuers reason but they decline to comment, will try and take this to ombudsman and tv watchdog to try and get my hard earned 500 pounds back, i'm not a legal expert but am going to try and take this as far as poss, daylight robbery ... Disgraceful service

1
Applied for a mortgage with Vida through a financial advisor firstly they wouldn’t lend the amount I wanted to borrow only 5k more over a longer term .over 3 months later and 3 days before myself and my 2 children where due to move house they rejected my mortgage on grounds of affordability this was despite me reducing my mortgage by nearly half and my monthly payments reducing also , had never missed a payment on my previous mortgage, luckily for us it was a small mortgage and family stepped in and gave me the money required to buy my house , now think I may have had a lucky escape from this company . Disgusting company

1
Most disgusting experience using this company I’ve wasted over 13 weeks waiting to get a mortgage offer I’ve spent more time sending documents over and over again . Now just had mortgage offer declined with not even a good reason I may now lose our dream home due to been strung along with staff that don’t know what they are doing do not use this joke of a company complete time wasters how just take your money and waste your time Reviewed on: 11th April 2019

mortgage provider from Hell!

1
1. They force borrowers to use vida's solicitors! Evident whose interests the solicitors look after. 2. Use the notoriously scum surveyors e.surv who consistently undervalue properties, so vida gains equity from the outset while borrowers loose and they have to use additional capital that may not have from the outset. 3. they require borrowers to insure the property before completion under "normal terms and conditions". The property is normally undervalued by e.surv that makes it very difficult to insure the property under "normal terms and conditions" (many insurers refuse). In this case vida refuse the mortgage (this after having gone through all the process and having spend legal, valuation and any other fees) but the borrower is obliged to buy the property for which has not mortgage or capital any more! Avoid avoid avoid! They pay high commissions to brokers to push them to clients. Do not even discuss this, just walk away! Reviewed on: 28th November 2018

Run, run fast!

Please don't ever think about going with this bank! Please are rude, un-competent, lazy and slow there. We have been waiting 4 months (!) to get a mortgage and they were giving our case from one employee to another, so we had to re-send stuff every month. It's a miracle that our seller has been waiting so long for us - in any other case we would loose the house. There is no contact with them, no chance to follow up with your case - they will drive you insane. I swear I was close to going to some newspaper with this. Please don't make the same mistake I did. AVOID AT ALL COST

Cowboys...thieves!!! Have strung us along for 4 months making us jump through hoops while stealing our money Reviewed on: 8th November 2018

Stay away

1
Shocking experience dealing with this company..4 months since our AIP from them, we have been jumping through every hoop they asked of us, paid out for extra surveys and they still say no! They have taken our money and ran without giving any valid reasons for declining. If you value your sanity stay well away from them Reviewed on: 8th November 2018

Absolutely Horrendous Experience - Do not go near them

1
Supplied all paperwork, took fee, 6 weeks later they decided to offer me a quarter of original amount despite my score being stable and on the UK average.  Offered this at a horrendously high rate, lost house I wanted to purchase, went with another lender that agreed within a week but now need to find a property as lost the one I had my heart set on. They should be closed down, total shambles. It also took ages for my refund to come through, had to pay another valuation fee when I went with a different lender. Awful awful experience.  Reviewed on: 26th April 2018
