I was charged a fee for not paying off my balance even though my balance was below the minimum amount I could send payment for - effectively meaning there was no way I could pay off the balance until they had added the fee. I contacted Virgin in advance to ask them how to rectify this but they never replied. They just added the fee. Shite. Reviewed on: 2nd January 2019

Unacceptable behaviour

Stay away from virgin money. I made a few late payments (not missed any) Last year as I was facing financial difficulties which were not of my own doing. 8 months on I contact virgin money and asked if they can kindly remove late payments from my file as it was affecting my credit history. Behold I was told they have a strict policy on late payments & refused to do anything about it. Other credit card companies removed it straight away. It seems virgin enjoy penalizing you even though it was 8 months on & I have reduced my debt to 25% of limit. Never agian will i take on any services from virgin. Reviewed on: 2nd January 2019

Easy & reliable

My current banks 0% interest offer was coming to an end, I did a soft check with them for a new offer but was declined due to recently taking out a mortgage. Did a search online and virgin came up offering 0% interest for 29months & only 1.75% fee for balance transfers and accepted me straight away! I have now moved all of my remaining balance to my new card and set up a direct debit that will easily pay it off before the end of the offer. Thank you Virgin! Reviewed on: 2nd January 2019
