An amazing savings app for getting used to managing money

I’ve recently started living more independently and am getting used to managing my money on my own. I did a lot of research before getting this as my first savings account and I’m really glad I did! My income at the moment is quite small and can be unreliable, so I need the option of accessing my savings for unexpected costs, however with most accounts that accessibility comes at a cost of really low interest rates. This is why Zopa Smart Saver suits me so well - I can have some of my savings in 7 day access pots at slightly lower rates, while the rest I can boost with 30 or 95 day access pots that have higher rates. And since most of my savings at this stage in my life are small and quite short-term, it really helps to have a savings account with reasonably high interest rates but which doesn’t carry the short-term risks of investment that a classic stocks and shares account would. The app is also enjoyable to use; the interface is aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly. It’s easy to navigate around the app, set up savings pots and move money between them. Super flexible and chasing the interest rates

Easy to set up and then use the smart boosting options, where you can regularly increase your interest according to your required notice period. More importantly, raises the interest rate promptly after the BoE does so that you don’t need to look elsewhere for a better deal. Reviewed on: 13th January 2023
