Decided to sign up to online with the Chorley because of lock down. It was very straight forward and easy to understand considering doing online banking is new to me. I was sent an ID number through the post and went into my Chorley accounts but I couldn’t see a log out notice which the letter accompanying my ID number said to do but it would log me out after 5 minutes automatically if I wasn’t using the inline service. I found this to be a long time to wait and would have thought probably a couple of minutes would have been enough wait. I rang the next day and spoke to a lovely lady Called Joyce Haywood who was working from home because of the Covid-19 pandemic situation, she was very helpful and asked if there was a menu option which there was so I clicked on it and low and behold was the option to log off. So I feel much happier now that I can log straight out. Thanks for your help Joyce. Reviewed on: 5th June 2020

Excellent service and feels like a family owned/run bank

Polite and helpful staff. Never pushy but only too happy to help. When I was thinking of a mortgage they gave me advice even though they knew it ment It would lead me to a competitor as it would benefit me. They still helped me with the process. I found the savings rates to be amongst the best to be had when I transferred my monies into various accounts with Chorley Building Society. I like that they are our local building society and give savers both a pass book and the ability to manage funds online if that's what the person wants. They offer attractive saving plans

My local branch open Saturdays and daily in excess of local banks who are closed Saturday and 3.00pm closures week days if open. Variable access to fixed rate savings products, which banks do not offer or as good as Chorley BS. Reviewed on: 27th February 2023
