Already have my car insurance with them so decided to compare my home insurance and for much better cover got a cheaper price than my existing insurance company Reviewed on: 23rd August 2023

Terrible

AA Home Insurance is just awful - we had been with them for many years, never made a claim. We had a water leak at our home, water gushing out of a pipe, we called a plumber right away in order to stop more damage being caused. Cost of repair was £426.00- we sent the claim dept footage of the leak and screenshots showing the invoice and a bank statement showing the payment was made as they had requested. Claim was turned down as 'you did not follow your policy rules by calling us first and using our own tradesman' What?? We thought we were helping the AA by not letting the water cause more damage than necessary and saving them money. I could have understood if it had been for thousands, but £426.00?? Avoid the AA - they just want your money and they use any excuse to weasel out of paying - awful Company Reviewed on: 31st July 2023

Be careful

While the AA are a very reputable brand, their claims management is handled by a company called Integra who have a shocking reputation. I tried to submit a very simple accidental damage claim. Would have been done and dusted in minutes with a proper insurer like Direct Live or Aviva, but Integra went out of their way to make life difficult for me and gave me so many unnecessary hoops to jump through in the hope I would withdraw my perfectly legitimate claim. Over a month later and radio silence from Integra. I will leave AA at renewal and never come back. I'd rather pay a little more with a proper insurer, safe in the knowledge they will look after me when I need them. Reviewed on: 17th July 2023

AA Home insurance have left us in building site

SHAA01016410 AA Home insurance Claim just treated as a joke 5 months down the line . Our home has been left as a building site after a flood in November . No assistance , they couldn’t provide builders, accommodation , told us to find a “man with a van “ to remove the rest by of our contents . Auto renew

Specifically chose the do not auto renew option but this was ignored. I chose this insurance for my autistic brother, when trying to cancel the auto renewal on his behalf they insisted they needed to speak to him! Absolutely furious Reviewed on: 7th November 2022

Great company

The AA can’t be beaten on price, we have used them for home insurance for the past 3 years as they have always been cheapest even on renewal. When I have had to contact them they are always friendly and easy to get hold if Reviewed on: 15th August 2022

Appalling service, no communication, untrained rude staff, no customer focus, delays while staff go on holiday. Reviewed on: 5th July 2022
