I have had a lot of problems with my car insurance due to changing cars/putting named drivers on/taking them off - overall i have had a very positive experience of Admiral, my problems are sorted with a phone call. 1st year insurance!

over a week for courtesy car, don't bother calling, its helpless..

Just another insurance company that does everything to get theyre money and cant get anything resolved.... regretting the moment I signed with them for my car insurance.. almost a week after the accident and my car hasn't even reached THEYRE chosen garage, which means it will be over a week at least to get the courtesy car.. Worst car insurance company, that lies and steals

Admiral insurance gained access to my bank account illegally and took a lot of money off! I have no idea how and why they managed to do this, but I am changing both the bank (Barclays) and car insurer. We did not even have valid contract and all my previous bills have been paid in time and in full. But they still took my money and disturbing part is that they had somehow gained access to my bank account! Took a lot of phone calls, emails, arguments and threats to get my money back. Someone crashed into the back of me then drove off. My car was written off however I managed to get the vehicle's number plate, Admiral were eager to send someone to collect my car but once they took it away they said I had 2 options, I could claim on my policy or I could wait for them to identify the other party but I would be charged storage fees. Since I couldn't afford storage fees I chose to claim. Worst mistake I've made in my entire life. They valued my car at approximately a third of what it was genuinely worth. They 'invalidated' my 12 month policy (which I pad for in full) which still had 6 months remaining. I had to buy a new insurance and they are telling me that until they can identify the driver the incident was my fault, therefore I've lost my no claims bonus and the new policy which I was forced to buy was almost triple the price of my previous one. It has now been over 10 months and they are saying they have still not identified the driver even though I provided his registration plate. I have kept asking them to ring me and keep me updated but I have had to ring them every single time we've been in touch (building up an enormous phone bill). I have received an e-mail from them saying that the member of staff handling my case will be charging £245 per hour, and they will be taking that from any money I eventually receive. I couldn't believe my eyes. It is now almost time to renew my policy again which means paying for another ridiculously overpriced policy all because they threatened to charge me storage fees if I didn't claim on my policy. They tricked me and I am hundreds if not thousands of pounds out-of-pocket all because someone crashed into the back of me whilst I was driving normally and because of Admiral. Please don't make the same mistake I did, even if Admiral offer you the cheapest policy, it is worth paying the extra to be with a different company just incase you are involved in an incident. Appalling amount of time to process a claim.

Nearly three months ago I was hit from behind (whilst stationary in a traffic jam) by a driver who had a policy with Admiral. Despite almost immediate admission of liability, (not really much choice in this scenario) they have still not provided my insurance company with permission to proceed with repairs to my bike (at least that is what MCE claimed). I was told (by MCE) that Admiral will deal with everything in date order. Do they REALLY have a nearly three month back log with dealing with claims? I cannot believe it. I am not at all happy with either Insurance company. I think I will go elsewhere next time, but it will NOT be with Admiral. Reviewed on: 18th November 2017

I picked Admiral for my car insurance last year. I had a breakdown shortly after joining them and require to be towed to the garage. The recovery came within 15 minutes from contacting customer service. When my insurance was about to expire i found a cheaper one elsewhere through a comparison website. The lovely lady on the phone not just matched but beat the quote I found. My experience with Admiral is 100% positive and I would recommend it to anyone Reviewed on: 1st October 2017
