Insurance costs and estimates are basic, then Admiral try to charge you extra for legal expenses, hire car, personal opinion injury when you are in the middle of trying to pay for what you actually want Reviewed on: 26th February 2016

We were the 'victim' of a car accident caused by an Admiral Insured driver. The treatment we received from them was so good, that we decided we would change our insurance over to them if they were competitive. Haven't regretted it! Reviewed on: 26th February 2016

It was more expensive to use multi car insurance than to arrange individual cover Reviewed on: 26th February 2016

Reasonable value for multi car policies

They were happy to price match a rival offer and the renewal process is fairly straight forward. Not left holding for long with the call centre. Reviewed on: 24th December 2015

Admiral are consistently the cheapest car insurance provider for young People. They always give a Good deal and their Website is Easy to navigate and complete. They also have a multicar function that Can create additional Discounts. Their friendly Welsh Staff are Very helpful also! Reviewed on: 24th December 2015

Poor customer service

I found Admiral staff to be very rude and abrupt on the phone, I had called the company to tell them once my policy ran out to not renew it as I would not be driving for a while. I then recieved a letter in the post to say my policy had been renewed and that I would have to pay to cancel, even though I had called to cancel it. When I phoned them they were extremely rude and claimed I had not rang Reviewed on: 24th December 2015

Simple and easy.

Easy to purchase, cheap in comparison to other ckmpanies, and good customer service. However I often receive emails from the company that I would rather not receive (eg promotional offers) Reviewed on: 24th December 2015

I have had car insurance with Admiral for several years now and they have never given me any cause for complaint about any aspect of their service. Reviewed on: 24th December 2015

Same as any Insurer, OK when taking DD's but crap service & hefty fees if you need to change anything

Admiral Car Insurance, as with any insurer these days, when taking money on a monthly basis there are rarely issues. You only get into the nitty, gritty and find out how good or bad companies are when you need to change any details or cancel the policy. Had Insurance with Admiral and due to my car going bang a month prior to the insurance finishing for the year cancelled it. Was presented with a £49.50 cancellation fee which is about 20% of the total annual premium (rather hefty for pushing a couple of buttons to cancel!) and a £5 fee for any additional products that I 'may' have purchased! Surely you should only be charged for extras that you definitely have purchased and not may have purchased! Needless to say have requested and am awaiting a breakdown of the final premium to ensure there are no spurious £5 'admin' charges and have seen if they can do anything to reduce the cancellation fee. No doubt will get the usual 'most companies charge to cancel' spiel so will probably not use them again, but as I say you only know that value of an Insurer once you have to utilise them for things other than taking your DD premium every month. Very easy to set up and helpful customer service staff over the phone. Set up my car insurance quickly and easy... Very reasonable too! Reviewed on: 13th November 2015
