Quite expensive

I'm with Admiral they're ok but nothing to write home about. They're also quite expensive and when I joined they said they'd fit a black box which would reduce my monthly payments but they cancelled the installation 3x and I never heard from them again. Reviewed on: 27th February 2017

Admiral have been brilliant for me! Seamless online buying experience, application form was very simple and easy to complete, I also had an excellent and very reasonable price quote (much more so than renewal quote from previous insurer) and some fantastic optional add-ons. STAY AWAY FROM ADMIRAL !!!!

PLEASE DO YOURSELF A BIG FAVOUR......STAY AWAY FROM ADMIRAL Please do yourself a very big favour..... Stay away from ADMIRAL insurance. I have insured my car with them for a few years. Every year they will increase the cost of renewal, even though I have over 15 years of claims free driving. I argue the price and they will reduce to obtain your continued business. All OK so far. The other day I returned to my parked car and another vehicle had damaged my car. The other driver fully accepted responsibility and I assumed ADMIRAL would now take over and sort the problem. HOW WRONG COULD I BE .... They persuaded me to use another company called AUXILLIS (who are even worse to deal with). ADMIRAL told me that AUXILLIS would take over the claim, get my vehicle collected, get my car repaired and provide me with a equivalent car. The car they provided is not like mine. Furthermore, it was filthy dirty inside and out. It was badly damaged to the front near side wing and bumper. The delivery guy told me the car was all good with no damage. I chased him up the road before he left my home and asked him to come and explain. He said Oh Sorry, I didn't know about that !!!!! You can bet your life I would have been responsible !! I have now complained to ADMIRAL on three different days to get the matter resolved and have been told that a manager would look into it and get back to me. ADMIRAL now don't want to know. They say it's nothing to do with us... Even though they are my insurance company who I pay every year. So far I have sent emails and spent at least 4 hours on the telephone trying to get some response. One telephone call was ONE HOUR AND THIRTY NINE MINUTES LONG. ..... THIS IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH.. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM ADMIRAL INSURANCE. Reviewed on: 24th January 2017

Superb customer service

I have been a customer of admiral car insurance for 10 years. They are always extremely competitive at renewal, matching any alternative quotes I have found. It is quick to get through on the phone and they are always polite and do not make the process difficult. That is why I have remained a loyal customer. It is also extremely easy to make amendments throughout the year via their online form. Reviewed on: 24th December 2016

Good price, good cover.

I've been happy enough with the service from Admiral that I have been with them for a couple of years now despite reviewing my car insurance annually. They can generally match the best price I find for the cover I need. The paperwork is clear and the staff helpful on the phone. I have no experience of the claims process. Underhand practices

I had car insurance from Admiral. They sent me a renewal quote which was 40% higher that the first year despite having no claims throughout the year. I shopped around and took out a much cheaper policy with another insurer. Admiral contacted me saying they had automatically renewed my car insurance and took the money from my account (as I had given them my bank details the previous year). I had not requested this and had never encountered such 'automatic renewals' without any form of customer acceptance with any other insurer. This is definitely not a company I would seek to have any involvement with again. Reviewed on: 10th December 2016

Good service until this year

I was involved in an accident - NON fault. They upped my insurance by £500, because someone else hit me. They also added a non claim incident (Where I bumped my car into pole) and upped my insurance again... Despite nothing being claimed. Real shame that they became money hungry as I would of remained a regular customer. Reviewed on: 28th November 2016

Zero stars

The worst experience with customer services as I spend more than one hour being passed to 3 different people. They couldn't explain logically the reason of doubling the price of own policy when you add another car on different policy (as by now I paid £500 per year and for my next year it will be £500 for 6 months just for one car)...no logic...no sense at all. Car Insurance and Multi car

Been with admiral quite a few years now. Happy with them and always good for multicar policy especially when changing vehicles a few times. Only thing that annoys me is when you get the renewal through you have to phone back to get a better price. The best price should be on the renewal anyway (I think this is the same with most companies though) Reviewed on: 25th October 2016
