Good service until this year

I was involved in an accident - NON fault. They upped my insurance by £500, because someone else hit me. They also added a non claim incident (Where I bumped my car into pole) and upped my insurance again... Despite nothing being claimed. Real shame that they became money hungry as I would of remained a regular customer. Reviewed on: 28th November 2016

The worst experience with customer services as I spend more than one hour being passed to 3 different people. They couldn't explain logically the reason of doubling the price of own policy when you add another car on different policy (as by now I paid £500 per year and for my next year it will be £500 for 6 months just for one car)...no logic...no sense at all. Car Insurance and Multi car

Been with admiral quite a few years now. Happy with them and always good for multicar policy especially when changing vehicles a few times. Only thing that annoys me is when you get the renewal through you have to phone back to get a better price. The best price should be on the renewal anyway (I think this is the same with most companies though) Reviewed on: 25th October 2016

I've used Admiral for car insurance for around 10 years. Every year they jack the price up massively, and every year I call them and they cut it back to beat just about any other provider in the market. Not sure why we have to go through this annual farce, but other than that, can't fault them. Oh, and they wanted to charge me £19 to change my numberplates, but told them to sling their hook and they relented. Reviewed on: 20th October 2016

When I had an accident - someone drove into the side of me on a roundabout - I was shaken up and had not experienced an accident before. Admiral were supportive and gave practical help like getting the car moved from the side of the road and rang regularly to make sure I was up to date. Would recommend them! Okay service, but hard work to get who you need to speak to

Their heavy use of Indian call centres is very frustrating. I am in no way prejudice, I simply cannot understand them. Went on the usual price comparison websites to see what was out there, saw that it was very much cheaper. Rang Admiral, eventually got through to a UK based call handler to discuss my renewal. Through negotiating the renewal point by point, I managed to get it reduced by £290. Why could they have not given me this deal in the first place? Very frustrating , had I not followed this route, it would have left me unnecessarily out of pocket. This time next year, I won't be as hesitant in getting what I want. You don't ask, you don't get.
