Admiral Comprehensive Car Insurance that's worthless

Whilst insured comprehensively through Admiral, a woman driving round a corner unchecked hit my car head on. You could hear damage to both my power steering & the gearbox as well as damaging my front bumper, bonnet & wing. The car was drivable the short distance home, but after being repaired it was painted plain black & not metallic, the power steering was only listened to not investigated as per the York garage it was taken to. They repainted the bumper, returned the car with a loose headlight, still a whining driving pump & a gearbox was noisy. Finally when it was returned, a few months after the gearbox failed & I was forced to sell the car at a loss. Admiral throughout never listened or believed me or my wife of the issues raised. No apology was offered & the car repairer couldn't have been less interested. It was more about how quickly they could turn the car around. Reviewed on: 4th September 2025

I also went through a small claim process in the past, and Admiral handled it smoothly with excellent communication and efficiency. I assume, looking at the reviews most must be AI generated bots.This is a joke of a company. Closed when it should be open. Can't access policy online yet sends emails to me!. I insured my disco 2024-2025 ,easy to deal with at a cost of £1100. I have not had any claims on any insurance policy so I received the maximum no claim’s discount on my protected bonus.. six months into my policy I had a my fault claim ( I caught the van rear light when he pulled out into oncoming traffic and then stopped suddenly. The damage was 1 new rear broken glass and bumper bracket. ( maximum cost £500 ) I supplied dash can evidence of the collision which showed the very poor condition of the 17 year old builders van ,the stoplight was not working I informed Admiral insurance that the van had no MOT but I was told that made no difference to the claim against myself.. The claim was settled with a £2448 payment . The van is back on the road being driven by the 3 party . I have voiced my displeasure to Admiral The van has only just been MOT after 4 months later even though he has driven it for the last 4 month . The builder has put the van back on the road at the cost too my increased premium.My new renewal has just been increased to £1900 and other insurance companies being from £1250 -£4000 and other companies refusing to insure me . Will I be dead by the time my claim is sorted

Waiting 15 months for my claim to be settled still is not sorted apparently it’s in the final stage it’s taken them 8 Weeks to read the file still haven’t been done when I phoned this morning school holidays got no car to take my children out, perhaps it be sorted by Xmas Reviewed on: 17th July 2025

Stay away

Put a default on my credit file over a penalty I didn’t owe. Now got 6 years of bad credit due to them not following the law. I will be taking legal action do not deal with this company. Reviewed on: 16th July 2025
