I was hit by an Admiral insured driver

I was hit by an Admiral insured driver Dec 2 . The driver ignored requests to provide details (a criminal offence). Admiral contacted me just before I contacted the police. Eventually their repairers took my car away. After alot of messing me about my car was returned on Dec 28. Repair was not complete and was taken away again. Finally returned 4/1/2024. Paint job was a poor match. Repairers were slow and did a bad job. Reviewed on: 5th January 2024

Worst experience ever

Admiral paid out on a false claim on my motor insurance without my knowledge even though I told them I wasn't involved, hadn't even been in the area, they sent an engineer out to inspect my car for damages or repairs he found everything was in good order, I sent photographs of my car (which they asked for) showing no damage to my car they asked if I would be willing to go to court "yes of course I would" I didn't hear anything from them and assumed it had been dealt with until my renewal was up and I went with another insurance company, that's when I found out they had paid out stating I was at fault. Pushing my insurance premium up and losing my 35yrs no claims.I'm currently pursuing the matter with Admiral when they offered me £20 inconvenience money to treat myself at the weekend ha, obviously I refused, lodged a complaint and today I received an email making me an offer of £30 also refused. This at fault claim will stay on my data for 5 years, very unfair! I'm in the process of going through the ombudsman if nothing comes of it I'll be getting a solicitor. I've been driving for 38 years and never experienced anything like this. My advice... steer clear of Admiral they are shocking. Reviewed on: 3rd January 2024

Need to do better job

Chose this insurance asnit was most suitable for my needs. Afterbcar accident ,they did absolutely nothing to help out. Sent me to take a pictures of the car and send it to them,basically do their job. Ask some questions got all the answers . Someone did not do their job properly and after more than a month chasing them up finally agreed to do the pay out. Called next day and decided not to pay anymore as "something came up". Even so it was clear and honest answer from the beggining. Very unprofessional people work there . Need a lot more training before you send them out to aswer damn phone calls and "assist on the best interest of the customer" . Don't waste your time on this insurance company . Of course they will look after they own interest. I lost my car and was mugged by them. This is a joke. Reviewed on: 11th December 2023

Very greedy, stay away

I’ve been a loyal customer with Admiral and made no claims for the past 13 years. My insurance has increased from £84 monthly to £213. That’s an absurd!!! Disappointed I left the company this week but they not only took my £218 but the £60 leaving fees also. In case you’re thinking about using Admiral, please think properly or you’ll be ripped off one day. Reviewed on: 17th November 2023

Disgusted!

Absolutely disgusted with this company. After receiving a quote online for £466 for my dads van cover. Having to go away and prove his last two accidents were non-fault of his from 2-3 years ago, they had the cheek to change his quote to over £700 and had the cheek to ask if we wanted to go ahead. When I said absolutely NO, they wanted me to add further other insurance with them to "get the price down" as we give you more money to reduce the policy price. RIP OFF, merchants. and to claim because he had an accident in the last few years we live in a high-risk area! What BS.... one was in a supermarket which he fixed privately and the other was someone reversed into him. We do not live in a high-risk area. Insurance companies are using any excuse to up the cost of insurance policies to customer. Disgraceful! Reviewed on: 16th November 2023

We feel confident with Admiral company after speaking to Mr Ashwin in customer service department, who is an angel supporting to solve impossible mission with professional, patient and considerate help! Thiefs!

After 4 years of being with them, they want to renew my policy by adding £400 something extra, for being a "platinum" member. Bear in mind I had no accidents. I called yesterday to renew my policy and I got a quote which I accepted. This morning I wake up to an email saying my policy renewal will be £400 extra so I call back just to be told they're sorry but that quote was actually for last year and it was a mistake. Outrageous! Worst company . Car not fixed. Staff very rude and unhelpful

This has got to be the worst Insurance provider. They do not care about the customer. My car was hit by another driver - which is a non fault - admiral advised that my car would be repaired - this was sent to the repair company which is called Mitchell inglis.. they have had the car for over 2.5 months now. I got a text from admiral two weeks ago that the part for the car was on order and that once here will be advised - I also spoke to the repairer and admiral who advised that a brand new bumper was ordered as this is what was needed for the car. So I said this is ok. I then got a text today to state that my car will be fixed by next week - so called the repairer and I was absolutely shocked to here this - they advised that admiral had called this this morning to advise to speed this process up and to not get a new bumper and to just do a temporary repairs on the bumper - I got advised by the repairer that they are doing a temporary repair as per the insurer. I advised that I was not informed of a temporary repair and that I should have been consulted as I was told on each occasion that a new bumper was being put on. I also advised that if the car was repairable then why was this not repaired instantly - the repaired advised that the car needed a new bumper and they informed the insurance of this. I called admiral up this morning and I was shocked at the level of service the customer service agents were / they were rude and they do not care about the customer. I spoke to John / Paul who was extremely rude and very unhelpful I am shocked at how they treat their customers it’s actually disgusting I have over 7 cars insured with them on a multi car policy and I will not be renewing with them. I was calling up as the repairer advised this was a temporary repair and they informed the insurance company who advised this is ok - I was explaining to the agent that this temporary repair is unheard of and is illegal and that the car needs to be fixed to ensure it’s a proper repair. However the agent was constantly talking above me - I asked for a manager to call me he advised that a manager would call me in 8 weeks time which is lies again. I called again in the afternoon and spoke to a nice helpful gentlemen who advised a manager would call me on Monday now. However the issue is that my car is not repaired and is temporarily repaired and admiral are refusing to fix this which none of it was my fault. I did not want this and I will now be taking legal action. Please go elsewhere for your insurance - they do not care about the customer nor are they helpful. Reviewed on: 28th October 2023

This company left my partners brother homeless as he was just under a mile away from home he knows stranded and his mental health is awful this company does not care about anyone's health and whether or not they will be homeless it will deffo be going to trading standards and further more will be done Reviewed on: 19th October 2023
