Shocking!

I have just had to cancel my AVIVA private health. It is the worst experience ever. When it came to a claim I had to wait up to 2+ hours on the phone, then they would not process the claim, I had to go through NHS (but continued to pay circa £299 a month but yet use the NHS! I appealed then they realised that I was in the right. They apologised and promised a £30 refund which I do not even know when I will receive this. I normally have BUPA or AXA PPP (which are much better). I will never take out an AVIVA policy again! steer clear of them! Reviewed on: 2nd December 2023

Fantastic health insurance

I'd had health insurance for a while, but since I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer it has really come into its own! There is a dedicated oncology team, and every call and claim has been so easy and straightforward, thank you for making a difficult time much easier Reviewed on: 13th August 2016

Recently claimed for pulling my back

The process for claiming was quite easy, although I was originally told I needed to obtain a letter from my GP for referral. However, I never sent this through as the GP did not provide it as promised, but despite this the claim was paid in full directly to the physiotherapist. No other problems with the claim, great service. Reviewed on: 1st August 2016

At work we have a Health policy with Aviva. I recently had to make a claim on it. Once the paperwork was across to them a customer representative called me to confirm my details and go through my claim. Once this was done I had a further call back in the afternoon saying that they need my notes to process the claim. This was done within 2 days, the next day they called to say that everything had gone through and that I could go ahead. They provided an excellent service within their Health Insurance department.
