Shocking!

I have just had to cancel my AVIVA private health. It is the worst experience ever. When it came to a claim I had to wait up to 2+ hours on the phone, then they would not process the claim, I had to go through NHS (but continued to pay circa £299 a month but yet use the NHS! I appealed then they realised that I was in the right. They apologised and promised a £30 refund which I do not even know when I will receive this. I normally have BUPA or AXA PPP (which are much better). I will never take out an AVIVA policy again! steer clear of them! Reviewed on: 2nd December 2023

GOOD COVERAGE

Good coverage relevant to age and income, easy to set up when also purchasing a house. The benefits and coverage offer a lot, should a pay out ever be required. Reviewed on: 17th July 2018

Sympathetic without being condescending

My husband has suffered 2 strokes & gone through treatment for throat cancer in the last 2 years. When I phoned Aviva after the most recent stroke they were extremely helpful & I was very happy with the service I got from them. Reviewed on: 15th July 2017

Linked Common Cold as pre conditon

Please avoid. Linked common cold as pre-condition symptoms when i asked them for referral to specialist as my child was unwell.. From morning i was continuously on phone calls . Just when you think you have insurance to cover you for your family and then they link to such common symptoms. Reviewed on: 16th November 2016
