Review of the Aviva, Pension:

Horrible waste of time when it comes to deceased

1
Don't believe these reviews. If you have a relative that passed away in a different country just know you will be months back and forward. They don't remember to process your case until you email them then they ask for more information. You couldn't ask that before I emailed? and this happened numerous times. Hopefully this process will be over soon. If he was alive I would tell him to run. Other pension schemes he had just needed our mom documents (without JP) and her bank account. Their usual sentences "its with our trustees", "they need to verify documents", "oh we couldn't contact the JP" all of this weeks and months in between. Only because we knew our brother thought pensions were a scam I am helping my mom fight for HIS money THAT HE WORKED HARD FOR. Reviewed on: 7th November 2024

Wealthify backed by Aviva

Easy to set up and access. Good initial incentives. I've actually lost money over the first several months. I'm obliged to go into a relatively cautious option which is overly focused on currency and bonds in a high inflation period when these are the worst choices. Reviewed on: 19th July 2023

AVIVA pension

Very poor performance and lack of recovery during volatile gilt market. Advise to hold firm even when fund loses 10% in last 12 months. Reviewed on: 5th July 2023

Shocking company

Toxic. Avoid like the plague. Incompetent and misleading. Worst pension provider ever. Reviewed on: 31st May 2023

Brick wall of indifference

5 telephone calls, various e mails, and an official complaint to try to get my pension . Each time I speak to a representative I am told my query will be escalated, and any action will happen in next 48 hours. No call back ever received, or confirmation e mails. Unable to e mail any one direct just a ridiculous enquirie@ Aviva which are never answered. Missed the tax deadline, so will now have to pay an additional £4K in tax. Does Aviva actually have any money, or are they insolvent? Reviewed on: 12th April 2023

They couldnt care less

1
Claimed my pension 4 months ago and haven't received a penny, what do they think i'm living on. 7 calls and 3 letters to customer services have come to nothing, promised 3 call backs from managers, not 1 called back. Reviewed on: 8th April 2023

frustration personified

1
Been trying to switch investment funds in my pension for several weeks now. Was told prosed funds selected were not permissible in my pension type (sipp). asked for a listing of what funds were permissible, only to receive confirmation that my selection was correct. Can't get any progress from Aviva on this matter, effectively trapped in poorly performing funds with no answers to my queries apart from a couple of mailed letters that merely confirm my disbelief in trying to deal with customer service reps who appear to be following a failed script. Liars

I have been promised call back and they never materialise the latest being today and no call from a manager as promised. I am told a different story every time despite having emails saying something different. If this is how they treat a dying man god help you all. They could be responsible for me not being able to fulfill my dying wish. Well done Aviva Reviewed on: 28th March 2023
