Bad customer service -Haywards Heath

Unacceptable customer service! I walked in and I was welcomed by a young Asian lady. I asked her about apprenticeship in Barclays. I explained that I already went through the online process, I applied for the closest vacancies but was emailed that there aren't any near me. Instead of responding with a resolution or consulting with someone if she didn't know about apprenticeship, she simply said "Go on the Barclays website!" I tried to explain myself again but she said "I don't know what you mean!" It was awkward, clearly she didn't want to communicate. All I wanted it was some help. I was strongly considering becoming an apprentice there but I am very disappointed with the staff; it hasn't been the 1st time as I am a customer there too! For such a well known bank I would have expected high level customer service. Please do train your staff better before letting them talk to customers because they are the ones representing Barclays! I will be awaiting customer service to come back to me and then I will update and post once they have. Reviewed on: 7th March 2019

Great rapport with staff

I have a great rapport with Business Bank relationship manager and use online facilities as well as the local branch to bank cheques. Reviewed on: 25th January 2016

No support for cricket club

I use Barclays for my cricket club's accounts. The cricket club operates on very tight margins and when I asked Barclays to support a major fundraising event, they declined. This was very disappointing - I'm sure Barclays could have offered something in the way of support. Reviewed on: 23rd January 2016

It was chosen because it was the first branch I saw. I find them to be generally helpful, and I've not had many issues. I do find the online services/apps to be very useful. Reviewed on: 21st January 2016

Online system, can integrate with accounting system. BACS as it is free of charge. Better support to small businesses would help as would better maintaining website and making online banking easier to use. Charges are sometimes excessive. Reviewed on: 20th January 2016
