Dreadful, just dreadful!

I simply cannot make regular payments to people because Barclays system removes Trusted payees on a weekly basis for no reason whatsove!!!! Nightmare when trying to process payroll and regular supplier payments - which, lets face it, that's what businesses do!!. No help whatsoever using their useless CHAT service. GO ELSEWHERE if you value your time and sanity! Reviewed on: 22nd December 2022

I set up the account with Barclays as it seemed easier joined with my personal. however the account took nearly a month to open and there are a lot of hidden charges.

I have also reviewed my last statements and the bank charges have gone up nearly double. I plan now to shop around and see which bank can offer the best rates. Reviewed on: 19th January 2016

I find Business Banking efficient as I can do it all online.

I don't know who my current business bank manager is at the moment - they send a letter every time it changes, but because I find I can do everything I need to online, I never have the need to contact my dedicated manager. I keep the business account in credit at all costs, because I know from the experience of others that Banks are very tough and inflexible when it comes to overdrafts/business loans. I find the PinSentry security system quite clumsy for online business banking, although I appreciate security is of paramount importance. But it can be inconvenient when the battery runs out in the machine and you have some urgent transactions to do! Reviewed on: 15th January 2016

Easy access and great customer service

Having been self employed for a number of years I decided to open up a business banking account. Having researched the market I eventually went with Barclays who offered easy access both online and in-branch. Overall I've been fairly satisfied with my experience - I was particularly impressed with the level of customer service in-branch where they are keen to sort things out as quick as possible. Barclays business banking - highly recommend

Since launching our business in June 2013 we have used Barclays business banking. The package we signed up to includes BusinessWorks - a suite of information and facilities to utilise, including Sage, which have helped our start-up grow. The support we have received from both our business advisor and via the hotline has been great and we are very happy to continue working with Barclays as our businesses expands. Decent service unless you need the personal touch!

The Barclays Business Banking Provision for Small Companies is okay on a day-to-day level. Their online facilities and SmartPhone APP are excellent, but if I need to contact my personal relationship manager it's terrible. I have his direct email, but he takes a long-time to answer and is not interested in helping beyond the standard requests I could satisfy myself via the online service. If you are looking for a simple product that's largely managed online this is a good account for you. If you want a more personal, human touch look elsewhere. Reviewed on: 12th January 2016

Great Customer Service

I needed to add my Business Accounts to my Barclays Mobile Banking APP. Great service, the changes were all made in under five minutes. No long periods on hold! Great! Perhaps, some of the telephone business banking staff should be transferred to the premier banking telephone team - when I phoned them about a similar issue they were poor! I've been lucky enough to have a personal relationship manager throughout my time with Barclays. He always tries to be helpful and actually demonstrates a real interest in what we do, so I highly recommend Barclays for personal business banking. Reviewed on: 25th June 2015

I appreciate the ease of access that this account provides, as well as the good online provision. Could be easier to physically speak to someone in person, but on the whole, really provides a good level of service for our needs. Reviewed on: 23rd March 2015

Mistakes opening my account, and not interested in helping me develop my business

Really awful. Mistakes, potentially (because of my personal circumstances) putting me in actual physical danger, as (entirely unknown to me) they used the wrong details, the wrong address from a long closed account. I ended up getting compensation (though no proper apology) - this is just 4 weeks after I opened the account. What a start. Then no interest in helping me to get some cashflow finance sorted - my Business Manager was dismissive and I got no support at all. And counter staff unhelpful and surly when I tried to change some money. Website seems ok, but on a personal basis, terrible. I will be looking elsewhere once I have summoned up the courage to actually try and close the account. Reviewed on: 12th March 2015
