Had an account with Barclays for about 25 years....been brilliant

My husband and I have had a bank account with Barclays Banl plc for over 25 years and have been really happy with them. They phone to tell us if there are any problems on our account straight away and offer us excellent deals and we even got Premier Banking for free. No complaints at all! Happy but closing my branch was a big problem

I hold a bank account (current) with Barclays. Online baking and telephone options are easy to use and it is always nice to talk to someone if needbe. Having said that Barclays caused everyone in my town a big problem by closing our branch. So, I now have to get the bus over to my nearest branch at a cost of £5. So for me to cash a cheque for £10, it costs me 50% to do that. Other banks have managed to stay open in my town so may have to consider moving. Shame have been happy until then. Older customers have really suffered especially if they dont have online banking. Come on Barclays think of the aged of consider a mobile banking bus to visit people in the villages - please Reviewed on: 6th November 2017

Long term bank supplier

I’ve been with Barclays for over 13 years and I have never experienced any problems with them. They are the only bank to still have a branch in my home town. Reviewed on: 5th November 2017

Good account

I’ve had a bank account with Barclays for years. They’ve recently launched blue rewards so you can get cash back for loyalty such as having their home insurance or mortgage deals. It’s also for direct debits and you can earn cash back on purchases at certain shops too. Would be 5 stars but I recently had some fraudulent activity on my account and I feel they dragged their heels about starting an investigation and provided no help regarding my financial situation whilst I waited to get my money back. An offer to temporarily extend my overdraft would have been nice. Reviewed on: 3rd November 2017

Good service overall, just minor niggles

Great customer service overall. Easy to use in branch and online. Branches are always quite busy (increased waiting times) due to popularity of the bank. The banking and pingit apps really help to provide a seamless and efficient service. The only issue we had was trying to get an up to date bank statement printed to show transactions of a gifted deposit for our mortgage.. we had to wait a couple of weeks until the new statement was made and released, they couldn't make us one up and stamp it for convenience. This pushed the exchange of contracts back by a couple of weeks. Reviewed on: 4th October 2017
