Thoughts from a former Bathonian.

I lived in Bath for many years, saving with the Bath Building Society. It was more than efficient but a pleasure to look into the branch as and when needed. For family reasons I no longer live in Bath, however I find that I can continue to manage my account efficiently via their excellent on-line service. I had no problem updating my home address with them following the move (which was not the case with some financial service providers). Reviewed on: 10th February 2026

positive experience as a new customer

I did not need to make an appointment to open an account, staff friendly , helpful, efficient , I did not have to wait in along queue. Kept me informed of the procedure whilst doing the " paperwork" Reviewed on: 10th February 2026

Bath Building Society - good for savings

Branch staff are helpful and friendly. Communication about interest rate changes etc is very good. And generally the interest rates are competitive. It's good to deal with a local building society that is still mutual. Reviewed on: 10th February 2026
