Proper service support

As someone who works with innovative technology and specialises in designing services that work for everyone, I am surprised that Bath doesn't have a digitally enabled online presence, but also delighted that I for one have not missed it. Helpful, very responsive service, without any chatbots, irritating remote phone dialogue or the other pratfalls that have made some other providers' services horrible experiences over the years. Interest rates

Bath don’t always lass on the rate increase from the Bank of England to their savers, when the rate is increased Reviewed on: 31st March 2023

Reply from Bath Building Society Thank you for your feedback Graeme, whilst it is true that we have not always fully passed on the Bank of England base rate changes (when rates moving down as well as up) we have however tried our best to protect our mortgage customers during these challenging times and we still have very competitive Savings rates and even this week appear in many best rate tables for some of our products. What we also do is make sure that we pass on rate increases to all our customers and we don't offer best rates to new customers/members. Please let me know if your would like to discuss this further. Local, Friendly and Knowledgeable

the staff are friendly, always there for you, knowledgeable and able to give a good advice. I also like the fact that it is a long-standing local business. I have recently learnt about other products they offer, such as mortgages and savings accounts for young people. the fact that there is a place I can go to and deal with staff on the premises is a bonus, especially as more businesses are becoming online only businesses.
