I love the idea of saving in the Bath building society and not having an easy access to transfer funds. You have to email and request for money or personally go to the bank to withdraw funds. It gives you a reminder to think twice do I really need the money or shall I continue saving. It is the best and easiest way to save money. And with just one email you can find out your balance or request a withdrawal of funds. Really helpful and friendly staff, my whole family has savings account with Bath building society. Great service with no need to switch and ditch to get a good interest rate

Friendly helpful staff. Not the usual long call center wait. Held the same account for many years, and it is still available. Unlike some providers who drop the rate, only to introduce a similar "new" account with a higher rate. Reviewed on: 17th February 2023

Great customer service, Great rates, and Great online services

I have only been with Bath Building Society for a few months, but throughout, they have provided the best customer service and experience of any provider I hold accounts with. Any queries I've had have been answered quickly and in full, and they're always friendly and polite. Additionally, the rates on their accounts are always very competitive - their 16-25 regular saver has consistently been the highest rate account I hold with any provider. Finally, they offer a helpful and functional online platform, allowing product applications and transfers online for those who wish to receive a more modern experience. Furthermore, they have a mobile app on the way which is very rare among building societies, and will be a very useful tool for managing my accounts with them. Reply from Bath Building Society We are committed to keeping our branches open and investing in the local community of Bath but I do acknowledge and apologise for the inconvenience caused by our decision last year to close our agencies. This difficult decision was made simply because of the low level of usage of these agencies. We do however pride ourselves on the service that we provide through the remaining branches and the support that we provide to customers who want to transact with us by other means, such as post, email, webchat and via our Bath Online system. I am also pleased to advise you that we will have a Mobile App launching in the next few weeks.
