What is the point...

They freeze accounts because of 'suspicious activity'... me buying from Ebay. Phone hotline for assistance no answer. Held in a queue. After several minutes the line goes dead. Go into branch to find assistance. No-one available. Directed to phone on wall to call hotline for assistance. Repeat as above. Perplexed, seek assistance, finally told nothing can be done but phone hotline. What is the point of having an account at a branch were no help is available? In fact, what is the point of HSBC? Apart from currency trading fraud, rigging the Euribor rate and allowing terrorists to launder money I mean? Rhetorical. Do yourself a favour, find a credit union or Bitcoin dealer. No problems with day to day banking, frustrating website

I've been a customer for 20 years and never felt the need to change as customer service in the bank is good. But the changes to online banking web pages have made it more difficult to use which seems a step backwards! Reviewed on: 6th November 2017

Simple and finally rewarding

My HSBC account used to be pretty vanilla. It wasn't good, wasn't bad but did the job, now I get cashback offers on the things I buy. Keep upping the game HSBC. Reviewed on: 6th November 2017

Best bank out there

HSBC is the best bank on the high street. The customer service is brilliant and they have always helped me and sorted any problems I have. I have been accepted by HSBC For products where other banks have turned me down. I’m very happy and have recommended them to my partner who is changing banks. Reviewed on: 6th November 2017

If you need help they are there, but are less pro-active in contacting you. I don't think I've has a financial review in over 10 years or longer. Quick to resolve issues when they know about them. Reviewed on: 6th November 2017
