A good company, just a corporate entity.

A good bank as far as a bank would take you. Though half the time you are dealing with a machine, half the time dealing with the internet. Overall a good bank, needs some improvements. Reviewed on: 7th June 2017

I received letter telling me my instant saver account had been made dormant with immediate effect as I had not used it for more than five years ( why did they not warn me before making it dormant heaven knows ? ). I went to my branch who said they could not do anything ? I had to register for telephone banking there and then which I did I went home to phone HSBC and rang the given telephone number and was informed I would have to wait 25 minutes for someone to answer waited 30 minutes and spoke to a lady and asked her to unlock my account and she told me to answer there security questions , I did , but she said she could not do this and I said I want to close this account she said she would send me a closure form by post, I then had to go back to the branch and show them my passport . Now they have said I will have to wait a couple of days for them to transfer the money from this Online Saver account to my current account. Still waiting for my account to be unlocked but I am tempted to go to the Police and report HSBC for theft as they said in the warning letter that if I had not gone through all this crap the money would go to charity. Why they did not just transfer my money to my current account beggers belief Mike Williams Reviewed on: 6th June 2017

Hsbc for 20 years

Have been with Hsbc for 20 years never needed to change or wanted to they have helped me with my finances throughout my life and have had only one minor issue in 20 years can't really better that? Reviewed on: 30th May 2017

Continued Terrible Service

No matter what i ask of them they never seem to be able to pull it off. Been asked twice if I wanted to upgrade account, accepted both times,was told it would be done in 5 working days. That was six months ago. I've moved twice since 2014 they still have my old address on file despite asking them to change it three times. When moving the first time asked the branch twice to send me my statements as they couldn't print them off for me in branch. Got them on the second time of asking. Reviewed on: 24th May 2017
