Current account interest

I have been with Santander for a few years now since they started offering their 123 current account. I have earned so much interest over my time with them and continue to even though they recently reduced the interest rate. It also gives cashback for bills that you pay by direct debit. Best current account out there for savers with over £3,000. Reviewed on: 18th March 2017

still best for interest

If you have some saving and direct debits(most people have them) this account is still the best to beat any inflation. 1.50% interest rate plus cashback on your direct debit which most of time breaks even with the account fee of £5. Open this account trough quidco or cashback for extra incentive between £50 to £100 Reviewed on: 12th March 2017

A good interest rate plus cash back

Easy account opening procedure, by setting up the right direct debits you can cover the monthly account fee from the cash back and achieve a decent interest rate on up to £20k. Only negative is that they were unduly harsh in cutting the rate from 3% to 1.5% when base rate was cut by 0.5% Reviewed on: 5th March 2017

Cash back 123

Used to earn a lot by using my 123 card but Santander have. Is cut the rate so I don't get as much but it is still worth having to make a few extra pounds per month Reviewed on: 2nd March 2017

Paid to pay your bills and interest on your current account

This account gets my salary every month and I pay my bills from it. I earn around £20 a month in interest and cash back. Reviewed on: 1st March 2017

Great product

I just love the benefits you get with the 123 Santander current account. Earn interest on your money, get cashback on utilities and all can be managed online. Reviewed on: 12th February 2017

Change of Opinion

They recently changed the T&Cs on this account, increasing the monthly fee, which was very disappointing. However, as my mortgage is also with Santander, that coupled with my DD payments to various utilities, still gives me more cash back than monthly fee, so less happy than I was, but still better than nothing at all. When the fee outweighs the benefits, I'll think again. Reviewed on: 12th February 2017
