Car insurance pay per mile

Easy car insurance with a few clicks online. Answer the questions and make you’re cheap annual payment then you’re covered once they send you a confirmation. Plug the miles tracker in you’re car and you’re tracked at 8p a mile. Pay every month for what you’ve used. Customer service advisors need to start reading emails properly rather than skim reading. I have taken the time to write a detailed emails out including all my details, a good customer experience is to reply to every question a customer asks. Reviewed on: 1st August 2019

Superb new offering

As a car owner in London but a limited user, By Miles has potentially saved me c. £250 on my car insurance (relative to Direct Line renewal quote). First heard mentioned on Investor's Chronicle podcast as an investee company of Octopus, making the switch could not have been easier. Will recommend (and have done already). Efficient and helpful

So the plug in arrived, took less than 1 minute to fit and then the app was very straightforward. Beyond simple to use. My tracker lost signal once so it appeared I had removed it. They contacted me immediately and were able to resolve the issue straight away. The email reminder of the monthly payment is helpful. Overall the best service I have ever received from an insurer. My best decision By Miles

I’m retired and live in London so qualify for free transport all over town. I hardly ever use my car - maybe 1/2000 per annum (<- ex Latin teacher lingo...) but that makes no difference to any other insurer who not only refuse to make anything other than a token reduction in premium for low mileage but even charge me more for being retired, as if I’m some reckless teenager who now has licence to go to endless country pubs for lunch, have a few beers and drive home. What a joy it was to find By Miles. Their customer support was speedy, helpful and easy to contact, their app (even for this ol’ geezer) was a cinch to navigate and to use to get a quote, their premium for parking my car was £200 cheaper than anyone else and the added per mile costs (for me not that many miles) are not only extremely cheap but also made even more attractive by my £50 token from a friend referral. Every time I make a journey a notification pops up on my phone of the mileage covered and the cost (minimal!) and a similar summary at the end of each month. It’s perfect for me - terrific in every way - and I’d certainly recommend (I already have) to anyone and everyone, especially those, like me, who don’t do too many miles each year. Best car insurance policy I've had I over 20 years of driving.

This is my first year I have been insured by By miles and I can honestly say this is what the people in the UK like myself have been crying out for. For so many years I feel, and I'm sure so many others feel that the price of car insurance has been nothing short of daylight robbery, I feel the industry as a whole have been taking advantage of the majority or the population by categorizing bunches of people together, and generalizing them based on bad driving of a particular group, area they live and o6her factors. This is to best inflate the cost of premiums to allow for bigger profit. I feel that By miles take me as an individual, and look at all of my particular quality as a driver, (as well as any faults I may have) therefore are able to have a true picture of who i am and this shows in the massively lowered price in the premiums I pay. Understated Value

Car insurance at a fair price.

This is car insurance at a fair price. It's especially good for myself as since retired i no longer drive long distances and more than pleased to pay by the mileage. By Miles has inimitable customer service with a charm of friendliness to be admired, and that lovely human touch. They also are extremely helpful in making sure you understand how they operate and especially to know how to insert the tracker that shows the mileage used.
