By Miles charge a fixed cost that covers a car while it’s parked. The rest is based on the actual miles driven. Customers can either plug in the matchbox-sized Miles Tracker, or for newer cars, you can connect By Miles directly with your car’s mileometer.

Excellent experience with By Miles

I recently took part in a 3 month trial with By Miles because I am fed up paying a chunky annual insurance premium for a car that sits in the garage most of the time and only comes out every once in a while when I have time and the sun is shining. The service I received was excellent and I found using the app incredibly easy. I have already recommmended them to several friends and am looking forward to their official launch - hopefully soon. Modern Insurance for the modern times

This beats any other insurance product ever offered in the UK. This will change the insurance market for greater good! Amazing features, low cost insurance and only pay for what you use! Fantastic!

I have been using By Miles for several months and it’s a brilliant new alternative to traditional motor insurance. Seeing what you do journey by journey on your iPhone is a fantastic feature. Fantastic new way to insure my car

I trialed by miles in their beta program, the experience was fantastic. One month my total bill was half my usual insurance cost. While the financial element is great, something I hadn’t expected was the amazing customer service and care. I initially had a problem with a tracker and a few brief exchanges with the team got my unit working. The care element really took me back though. the sensor picked up a sudden moment as a possible accident and shortly after the team again reached out to check I was OK. That stood out in to me as an amazing leap in customer care and use of technology to better protect us. I don’t think I’m overstating here to say I think with further development the service and technology By Miles are developing could save lives. Finally a suitable insurer for my weekend driving

As a driver that commutes via public transport during the week and only uses the car at weekends this app has been a lifesaver! Finally I can insure my car for the miles I drive rather than paying while it sits on my driveway! The app is excellent and easy to use! I must say it has got rather addictive to check a journey once completed to see how much it has cost or rather how much I have saved!! Reviewed on: 28th September 2017
