Good customer service with fairly rapid response tim...

Good customer service with fairly rapid response time on the phone. Not yet had to make a claim, so no experience of that. Reviewed on: 11th October 2024

Smooth Claim Handling

I was rear ended by a van while stationary at a junction. Churchill processed the claim very efficiently, repaired the car promptly and I was very happy with the outcome. The only let down was that recorded the claim incorrectly and my fault which I then had to challenge at a later date Reviewed on: 22nd August 2023

Extortionate Increase

I received my annual renewal and it had increased by 67%. The only change was I was a year older and so was my car! Reviewed on: 22nd August 2023

Low priced, but not transparent

Insuranced priced cheaper than competitors, but had to haggle them down to match. Good level of cover for price. Shame it's not transparent and the haggled price to start with. Reviewed on: 13th August 2023

All good so far...

Been with Churchill for a number of years now, after plenty of research they were in the top insurance companies for hassle free payouts after making a claim. I've not had to make a claim as of yet but wanted to know if that time come it wasn't going to be a huge headache. Staff are friendly and service is good. Reviewed on: 9th August 2023

The worst customer service experience.

I have never exprienced stress and anger as much as I had with this company's service. They charged my family even after we sold the car and after my dad contacted them they cancelled the insurance but then randomly upgraded the account to a premium. Me and my dad contacted them again, spend up to 2 hrs on the phone to cancel the account and organise a refund which the lady on the phone said it will take a week to sort out. The account was cancelled but after a week instead of a refund letter we got a letter for an overdue bill. Next time I contacted them again over the weekend. First day the customer service lady goes over the same conversation but when my questions starts getting harder, she waits until the end of the day then just ghosts me. Second day, same bloody conversation with another bloke. Ends up struggling with basic questions and refuses to answer any question about the refund. At the end he just tell me to get my father on the phone next time and closes the conversation. I gave them all the information they wanted during the exchange and even the case number so they can trace the older conversation quicker. They didnt use the reference number at all. Terrible experience

Someone ran into me, my first accident in over 15 years. It's been headache since the start, trying get through on line sat for 40 minutes only to be cut off another 30 minutes on hold. Eventually spoke to some one. But wasn't that simple I had to get my car off the drive so I could take My courtesy car, but told had wait 2 weeks for doneobe to collect it, rang and rang and after phone calls a car transporter collected it. Finally got it back only to find knocking on the side that was hit. Called Churchill who tried to contact the garage but couldn't get through and told me the number and I would have to keep trying to contact them Returned to garage who informed me there was a issue but who would have to wait several days to see if they were willing to pay for the repair. I've contacted Churchill several times even complained but no one has got back to me. Reviewed on: 24th July 2023

Diabolical increase in car insurance premiums

Churchill have given me a price for this year's car insurance..a rise of over 55%. I have read that premiums generally have increased but the average is 22%....still a lot but a bit more affordable. I feel that they are taking an unfair advantage of the cost of living increase and see it as an opportunity to profiteer. I will be shopping around!!
