I'm autistic and dyslexic

I'm autistic and dyslexic and still… I'm autistic and dyslexic and still work full-time and been with coop many years. My tenancy was up 2 weeks ago and the council found me a flat to move into so I spent all my money moving and that includes all my overdraft so I have no money until I'm paid in a week .I called the coop bank to tell them I've 1 pound in electric left and no food in until I'm paid Friday can I have 50 pounds to get electric and abit of food until Friday! They said no and said that I should go to a food bank and they may get me some electric somehow but they weren't sure.i put the phone down ! I'm sitting here hungry and 1.25 left In my emergency electric .coop bank I hate you and how you treat disabled people in a time of need .50 pounds for electric and food until I'm paid but you prefer me to die Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

been with them over 25 years

ive always had a great experience with the coop, expecially their customer service. whenever ive had a problem theyve always gone over and above to solve it - especially when i had a fraud incident - stolen money was returned within minutes. Reviewed on: 13th January 2022

Everyday Extra Account

Great value account includes travel insurance and roadside assistance for £15 a month. You can also get cash rewards when you pay out on standing orders. It's easy to manage the account online. Reviewed on: 12th January 2022

Call time is very long and customer service reps do not always deliver

The call times are always very long - then when you do get through the customer service reps do not always do what they say, eg send emails - the you have to call back and wait on hold again for another hour Reviewed on: 28th October 2021

What a shambles!

My debit cards and credit card have both been subject to 'unauthorized activity' which is still to be resolved. In the meantime they have periodically blocked then unblocked my online transactions at the point of 'verified by visa' not only for my replacement cards but also for the card that hadn't been involved in the fraudulent activity. In addition my husbands Co-op bank cards have been similarly treated even though they were not involved in the unauthorised activity either. This random blocking has necessitated a significant number of long waits on the telephone to speak to 'customer services' who, after long discussion and interrogation, assured us that they had unblocked the cards. They either weren't unblocked or unblocked only for a short period. I have passed all this information on to the bank's fraud team who are investigating the unauthorised activity against my cards but they seem intent on ignoring my emails. I have now asked them to get back to me with an explanation and resolution of the problem by Monday 11th October but I am not holding out much hope Reviewed on: 9th October 2021
