I'm autistic and dyslexic

I'm autistic and dyslexic and still… I'm autistic and dyslexic and still work full-time and been with coop many years. My tenancy was up 2 weeks ago and the council found me a flat to move into so I spent all my money moving and that includes all my overdraft so I have no money until I'm paid in a week .I called the coop bank to tell them I've 1 pound in electric left and no food in until I'm paid Friday can I have 50 pounds to get electric and abit of food until Friday! They said no and said that I should go to a food bank and they may get me some electric somehow but they weren't sure.i put the phone down ! I'm sitting here hungry and 1.25 left In my emergency electric .coop bank I hate you and how you treat disabled people in a time of need .50 pounds for electric and food until I'm paid but you prefer me to die Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

New Year - New Bank

The basic bank account offered by The Co-operative Bank is straightforward and prevents debt. Reviewed on: 8th November 2017

Ethical good quality bank

Every dealing I have had with customer services has been fantastic: the solution to the problem has been found immediately and they have been kind, courteous and explained things well. I've been with them for over a decade now and could not be happier. And the fact they do not provide weapons nor do they fund horrendous planet-destroying activities like fracking. Great ethical personal banking

Mixrd bag

Good at the basics, including helpful, friendly customer service. And there’s still a commitment to some corporate responsibility, sadly lacking elsewhere. Poor for walk in or face to face advice, as there are so few branches, and of course they’ve made a hash of its investments in recent years Reviewed on: 7th November 2017

Banking with benefits

Really happy with my Coop current account. The on-line banking and phone app are easy to use, and the customer service on the phone is always friendly and helpful. I get Everyday Rewards which is about £5 a month credited to my account just for using the account in a number of ways. The only downside is that my debit card chips seem to stop working now and then which hasn’t happened with other accounts - might just be chance though! Reviewed on: 7th November 2017

Poor App

I use banking apps to keep track of my current account - the coop app only lets me see 2 weeks transactions. It is impossible to compare expenditure to the previous month period. IŠ—Èm moving bank as a result Reviewed on: 7th November 2017
