Banking with principles

Good to know that my money will not be invested in fossil fuels, arms, dictatorships or exploitation. No problems with my account or customer service. Easy to use app and website. Only downside is (now) the lack of a local branch but it is only VERY occasionally that I have cause to visit a branch anyway. Reviewed on: 6th February 2020

I chose the Cooperative Bank

I chose the Cooperative Bank for it’s ethical stance and the fact it has a branch local to my home. I trust the Cooperative Bank to make ethical choices in its investments and the companies it supports. Reviewed on: 16th January 2024

Good bank but poor phone contact

I’ve used the Co-operative bank for years but recently trying to contact them on the phone sometimes takes hours and is very frustrating. Their online banking is good however and I can manage my money easily. Reviewed on: 16th January 2024

Avoid

Stay well away their banks are terrible. They can block your account without notice or reason and hold your money. Stay clear of Co-operative bank. 5 days now we have been without groceries because they won’t release my money. Had to send my child to school without dinner money. When I approached them, they blocked me on X and Facebook. I also rang them and begged for my own money for food for my family.. they told me they’ll see if they can send me some food and then changed their mind. The co-operative bank have taken away our basic human rights. Never trust them and always keep a rainy day ££ at home Reviewed on: 24th November 2023

Not the best!

The Co-operative has been a mainstay of my family for over a hundred years.For groceries,Banking,House insurance,Travel and car insurance. From my Grandparents,parents and myself and siblings.But for sometime now I have been disappointed with their service.I feel they are not trying hard enough for customers service.
