Welcome flexibility by a Branch Manager

Things had got into a bit of a muddle re my wife and myself giving notice on our 45 days notice accounts. This happened because we had to give notice during a notice amnesty and your software or the lady serving us could not cope. We wanted to move cash to ISA's and this could not be done at the time because we would have exceeded the £20K limit in a financial year. The Redcar Branch Manager used his discretionary powers and made the transfers for us. Such flexibility is much appreciated and all too rare nowadays in banks. Reviewed on: 16th April 2025

I don’t usually go to branch, but this has changed my outlook. I was delighted to be served by Megan and Chantelle at the Middlesbrough Branch. I had a query about whether a transfer counted as a withdrawal and Megan was able to help me straighten her away. I will definitely be visiting Middlesbrough Branch again soon. Hoping to book a mortgage appointment soon as well. Reviewed on: 28th November 2025
